Why I Created Awakening Stillpoint

Over the years, I noticed something interesting. Most people already know what supports well-being: rest, meditation, reflection, meaningful connection, and time for inner stillness. Yet many struggle to access those states consistently in daily life.

Part of the reason may be that life never stops presenting us with challenges. While there may be smoother periods, lasting steadiness is rarely found in the outer world. What can become steady, calm, and unwavering, however, is our innermost core. Through contemplative practices such as meditation and sound healing, we can gradually cultivate this inner Stillpoint.

After years of research in psychology and neuroscience, decades of meditation practice, and extensive training in sound healing, I wanted to create a place where these practices and teachings could be available anytime and anywhere.

Awakening Stillpoint brings together Sound Healing, Meditation, and Educational Content to support relaxation, restful sleep, emotional resilience, self-awareness, and personal and spiritual growth. The intention is not to provide a quick fix, but to offer practices and perspectives that can be returned to again and again – helping cultivate inner harmony, clarity, resilience, and higher states of awareness over time.

Who This Membership Is For

You may feel at home in this membership if:

  • You often feel mentally or physically wired, tense, or overwhelmed and find it difficult to fully relax.
  • You struggle to fall asleep, stay asleep, or wake feeling truly rested and restored.
  • You are highly sensitive and easily affected by the pace and demands of modern life.
  • You feel nourished by nature, beauty, silence, music, gardens, natural materials, essential oils, crystals, or other subtle experiences.
  • You are open to both scientific and contemplative perspectives on healing, well-being, and transformation.
  • You are curious about meditation, sound healing, consciousness, subtle energy, and the exploration of inner experience.
  • You already meditate – or would like to begin – and are interested in cultivating focus, stillness, and inner awareness.
  • You are interested in personal and spiritual growth and understand that meaningful change unfolds through practice, consistency, and openness over time.

Awakening Stillpoint was created for people who value both direct experience and deeper understanding. Whether you are drawn primarily by meditation, sound healing, neuroscience, spiritual practice, or simple curiosity, the invitation is to explore with openness, discernment, and a willingness to learn.

Sound Healing with tuning forks

Deep Relaxation. Greater Ease. Space to Let Go.

The Sound Healing sessions were created to support relaxation, stress resilience, emotional balance, sleep, creativity, and personal growth.

Unlike guided meditations, which actively train attention and awareness, these sessions invite you to soften, receive, and let go. Many people spend much of their lives in states of activity, stimulation, and mental effort. Sound Healing offers an opportunity to move in the opposite direction: toward stillness, receptivity, and deep rest.

Many members find Sound Healing particularly supportive for sleep. When stress, rumination, emotional tension, or mental overactivity interfere with rest, deep relaxation can help create conditions that support recovery and restoration. While individual experiences vary, many people report improved sleep quality and a greater sense of calm.

Sound Healing can also be a valuable support for meditation. When the nervous system is calmer and more balanced, it often becomes easier to settle the mind, remain present, and enter deeper states of concentration. Many members use Sound Healing as a bridge into meditation or as a complementary practice alongside their existing spiritual path.

Many people also report feeling lighter, more energized, and more creative after sessions. From a practical perspective, stress consumes considerable mental and physical resources. As tension softens, the nervous system relaxes and subtle energy flows optimze, those resources may become available again for creativity, meaningful work, relationships, and daily life.

The invitation is simple: listen, rest, be curious, and allow the experience to unfold.

Guided Meditation and Mantra Practice

Find Stillness, Clarity, and Inner Awareness

These guided practices combine meditation, breathwork (pranayama), mantra, and contemplative techniques designed to cultivate calm, clarity, concentration, and awareness.

Whether you are new to meditation or deepening an existing practice, the recordings support emotional balance, nervous-system regulation, and the ability to respond more consciously to life’s challenges. Over time, meditation may strengthen discernment, deepen intuition, and foster a greater sense of inner stillness and presence. As practice deepens, many contemplative traditions describe the possibility of experiencing increasingly refined states of awareness and consciousness.

A Science study suggests that spending more time in the present moment is associated with greater happiness (Killingsworth & Gilbert, 2010). In many ways, meditation is the ongoing practice of returning to that present-moment awareness.

Educational Content

Understand the Why Behind the Practice

Practice and understanding often deepen one another.

The educational resources within Awakening Stillpoint explore questions at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, meditation, sound, vibration, contemplative traditions, and spiritual practice. Topics range from psychology, stress, and nervous system regulation to consciousness, meditation, subtle energy, karma, and Vedic philosophy.

Through talks, interviews, podcasts, and educational videos, members are invited to explore both scientific perspectives and contemplative insights that can enrich practice and support personal and spiritual growth.

The content reflects a lifelong exploration of both science and spirituality, drawing from decades in academia, extensive training in Sound Healing, Biofield Tuning, Meditation, Kriya Yoga, and Esoteric Acupuncture, as well as years of personal study within the Kriya Yoga tradition under the guidance of highly experienced teachers and spiritual mentors. Their direct guidance, wisdom, and example have profoundly shaped my understanding and continue to inform the teachings shared within Awakening Stillpoint.

FAQs

1. How do I prepare for Sound Healing session?

Choose a quiet, comfortable place where you will not be disturbed. Many people prefer to lie down, although sitting comfortably is also fine.
If possible, allow yourself a few extra minutes afterward before returning to work or other activities. Deep relaxation can sometimes leave you feeling calm, reflective, or deeply rested, and giving yourself space to integrate the experience can be beneficial.
Many members enjoy listening in the evening or before sleep, although sessions can be used at any time of day.

2. Will this work online as well as in person?

Many practitioners worldwide offer sound healing and meditation sessions online, and many participants report benefits that are comparable to in-person experiences.

Part of this may be straightforward: you are still listening to the sounds and engaging with the practice, whether you participate online or in person. At the same time, some aspects of healing, awareness, and human connection may not yet be fully understood. While individual experiences naturally vary, many people find online sessions to be just as supportive and effective as in-person offerings.
Ultimately, I encourage you to approach the experience with curiosity, openness, and discernment, and to discover for yourself what is possible.

3. Do I need headphones, or can I use my speakers?

Both can work well. You may listen through headphones, speakers, a computer, tablet, or phone.

While high-quality audio can enhance the listening experience, it is not necessary. The most important factors are finding a quiet, comfortable environment where you can relax, listen, and fully engage with the session.

4. Is Sound Healing the same as meditation?

Not exactly, although the two practices can complement one another beautifully.

The guided meditations within Awakening Stillpoint actively train attention, awareness, concentration, and self-observation. Sound Healing, by contrast, invites you to relax, receive, and let go.

While some people listen attentively to the sounds, others drift into a deeply relaxed state or even fall asleep. Both experiences are perfectly fine. Many members use Sound Healing as a bridge into meditation or as a supportive practice alongside an existing meditation path.

5. Can Sound Healing support my spiritual practice?

Yes. Many Awakening Stillpoint members have meditation and yoga practices and find that Sound Healing supports their spiritual path.
From a yogic perspective, spiritual growth involves gradually releasing limiting patterns, conditioning, and karmic tendencies that influence how we think, feel, and respond to life. As these patterns become less influential, meditation often becomes easier and deeper, and a greater sense of inner freedom and awareness can emerge.
